So what's the inspiration behind your latest collection?
One of our main focuses at the moment is elevating the brand, especially from a product perspective - the quality of the product, the details on the product, and also creating more of a minimalistic look.
We wanted to create everyday pieces that can be dressed up or down - and the US hip-hop scene has definitely inspired this. From the fit of the pieces to the quality of the materials, we wanted to create an identity for our customers. These are pieces for every occasion, but they can also be worn for any occasion too. You’re not limited by dress code constraints and rules, but you’re embracing them and turning them on their head.
You touched on there about creating an identity. Can you speak a little bit more about that?
I think for us it's not so much about what we're trying to attract, but the feeling we’re trying to create. And I want everyone to feel special, whether you’re wearing a going-out outfit or an everyday tracksuit. I want people to feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin. So it's more for me about the feeling we’re creating, enabling customers to create their own identity from that.
Love that! So looking at the challenges that you faced when you were creating this collection, were there any that you stumbled upon in the design process or idea generation?
Yeah of course. We’re on a journey to try and make better quality pieces, with that uniqueness that The Couture Club brings. But better quality often means higher price points, so we’re in the process of trying to educate ourselves and our customers on what this means for them. We’re super focused on sustainability, so the better quality, the less likely our customers will need to replace items. We want our pieces to grow with our customers, so we really focused on those quality materials in this collection.
For example, I love the fact that the vast majority of my friends have still got OG The Couture Club pieces - even t-shirts from seven years ago that they’re still wearing now! So improving on that quality and highlighting that to our customers has probably been the biggest challenge with this collection. We’re not a ‘fast fashion’ brand and we never will be - which is something we definitely pride ourselves on.
In the past, we’ve concentrated on flash sales and that kind of marketing activity, but it definitely devalues the brand. We know the quality of the product and we give the best value for our customers all year round. We know our customers appreciate that - so it’s offering that loyalty to them that we know they offer us.
That’s so true. We even spotted KSI wearing a Couture Club t-shirt design from 3-4 years ago!
*laughs* Exactly! I’d love to send KSI some new pieces actually. The difference in the quality from a few years ago is huge. But we love seeing all the older collections tagged on Instagram and TikTok; it highlights the quality and longevity of the pieces, including that timeless style.
So my next question is, how did you determine the target market for this collection?
So we've actually we’ve been doing a lot of work over the last two years to think about our audience and how we can best serve them. When I started the brand, I created clothes that I wanted to wear - and that I thought others would like too. Over the last couple of years, I feel like we lost that identity a little bit. Maybe I was still trying to appeal to my younger self *laughs*.
Now we’ve returned to the original strategy - creating pieces with those designer details and style, but with an affordable price point. I love how every element on a designer garment is considered and I wanted that to be replicated in our collections. It’s creating those high-quality pieces that last a long time, but also work well with high-end designer items.
Can you walk us through the production process of your latest collection, from concept to finished product?
So last year, we started concentrating on all the key pieces that we felt we really needed in our summer collection.
And we looked at what people went for in the nineties, hip-hop fashion, and street styles for example. When I was searching for inspiration last summer, I couldn't find the key pieces that I wanted to wear - that I knew my friends would want to wear. So we kind of built the full range from that and then whittled it down.
These key pieces for me were garments like resort sets or twin sets. Our new nylon twin sets, for example, are completely elevated from anything we’ve designed before and I haven’t seen anything else like it on the market right now.
So we built the summer collection from that and then perfected it over the last six months to get to a much smaller, exclusive range.
Inspiration for me comes from anywhere, particularly from the places I travel with my wife. And that's one thing I love is looking at how different people dress in different areas of the world. They’re starting trends without even knowing it and I love that.
Can you give me an example of somewhere that you've been maybe recently that inspired you?
Yeah of course. Ibiza for me has been a big inspiration for some of our pieces. Obviously, a lot of the looks can be quite extreme, but it’s taking those extreme elements and creating something high fashion that people can wear every day. Ibiza club style is very fashion-forward, but certainly not every day *laughs*. They look incredible, but also don’t look like they’re trying too hard! And aside from Ibiza, definitely the music scene in general.
There's also a lot of inspiration from the south of France. I spent a bit of time there last summer and it feels very high-end, very luxurious, so definitely something I wanted to emulate in this latest collection.
During the autumn/winter season, I take a lot of inspiration from South Korean fashion. Again, I feel like they're ahead of everyone else in the world when it comes to putting an outfit together and wearing truly unique pieces, especially outerwear.
That's really interesting. So, how did you decide on the materials and the fabrics for the collection? And how does this match the brand’s values?
I think I've kind of touched on that with that we’re using much higher quality materials and fabrics because the whole point is that we want them to last and have that longevity. Again, on that, we would never sacrifice the quality of the pieces, but we also still need to think about comfort.
We've been sampling some super heavy fabrics, so sometimes it's too stiff, so we’ve had to think about how can we soften the fabric? How can we find a fabric of that weight that drapes how we want it to drape?
It takes a lot of time, research, and working with our factories to help us source the right quality and weight of the fabric. We’re always looking at ways to improve our production and have some new ideas in the works. One thing I'm really proud of is our team’s approach to sampling and working as hard as possible to make the garment the best it possibly can be.
That’s awesome. So have you got a favourite piece from your most recent collection?
So I think I mentioned it before, but it’s definitely our nylon twin set. It’s a short-sleeved shirt and cargo shorts and feels the same quality as Prada or Gucci. But of course, definitely not being sold at the same price point as those designers!
For me, it’s the way it sits, the way it falls on your body, the zip details on there - just everything about it. That's definitely one of my favourite pieces. I had the sample very early on in the year when I went to Miami for New Year, so I wore it then.
That's really cool, as it’s very street-style, isn't it?
Yeah definitely, but also takes inspiration from the south of France, just combining all those elements together.
How do you ensure that the collection reflects current fashion trends, but also stays true to your brand aesthetic?
There are a lot of different things. So our team always does their research, looking at trending products and any trends that are going out of style, which gives us a good guideline.
But we really focus on what we're doing ourselves and try and put collections out there that aren’t necessarily trend-led because we want to be unique.
We’ll also update any pieces we currently have; that might be totally different fabrics or if we really like the silhouette of the product, we’ll use that for a different piece. We'll kind of incorporate that again in any best sellers and take inspiration from it. It's mainly trying to create those pieces that aren't out there, that aren't available, rather than necessarily sticking with a trend and kind of creating something that might be on the high street.
We’ll use the trend information to help advise us on colour pops for the season and things like that. And we might not necessarily do a full shirt in that colour, but we might have the branding in that colour, for example.
So it's kind of that subtle nod to the trend, but not actually jumping on the trend altogether?
Yeah definitely. I think you can almost get led sometimes, and we’ve been guilty of that in the past where you think you've got to do these exact colours that other designers have chosen that have been on all catwalk shows - but it might not fit with your brand DNA.
We want to push the customer, we want to evolve the customer and put products out there so that they can have options, but it's a fine balance between having a crazy collection with loads of different colours, and knowing what our audience wants.
In terms of measuring the success of a collection, what do you look for? Is it that it's really well received by your audience or that it's picked up by fashion publications, things like that?
For me, it's a mixture. It’s definitely determined by the community and how they react to it. So, for example, we might show a preview of a collection and if a lot of people message about one item, we already know it's going to be successful before it even drops.
Another thing for me as a marker of success is when influencers or celebrities organically wear our pieces. We've seen Molly Mae wearing one of our coats very recently. And for me, seeing someone who (what a lot of people in the industry would say) is the queen of fashion choosing that piece from our store and sharing it organically is a huge compliment.
Molly Mae is very much into her designer brands too, isn't she? She always has Louis Vuitton bags and Cartier jewellery. So that again, matches what you are trying to push.
Yes, definitely! It's that aspirational element. You might not be able to wear designer clothes every single day, so you might have a designer bag, belt, or a nice watch, and you need a wardrobe that can elevate these pieces and match their quality. So it's aligning ourselves with this audience.
So the last question is what do you hope your customers are going to take away from this collection?
I want the customers to take away that they've bought into the brand, they've bought into the community, and to be proud to wear our pieces.
This collection is all about confidence. Feeling accepted. I want people to feel part of this inclusive, but exclusive club.
The main thing for me is the customers are happy and have their part of the brand. Whether it's contacting the social media team and asking about new releases, or sharing how they’ve styled a particular piece and tagging us in it. We really want to work with the community and engage with all our customers all the time.
I love that! You want it to be available to everyone and they want to be part of it.
That’s exactly it.
Thanks so much for your time, Ross, it’s been a pleasure to speak with you.
]]>The new season journey of Brand Strategy, Renewed Design, and Creative Vision.
Allow us to share with you an exclusive glimpse into the inspiration and vision behind our latest campaign for the Spring/Summer 2023 season, titled 'Club De Couture.'
Several months of dedication, creativity, research, and strategic thinking, has resulted to our SS23 campaign, whilst we simultaneously renew our whole brand strategy. From design to creative aesthetic, we have been developing our brand identity to achieve a more elevated position in the fashion world.
While statement streetwear was once dominant, the rise of luxury streetwear has created a market that now seeks more than just hype trends and prioritises the values of quality and innovative design. In response to this new shift, our designers have curated a range of meticulously designed garments that represent a more holistic approach to style. Our much-considered SS23 collection has been refreshed with a focus on interchangeable pieces, and our newly sourced premium fabrications emphasise conscious design choices, ensuring a more durable wear that luxury streetwear tends to offer. The collection fuses comfort and couture fashion by featuring clean lines, refined silhouettes, and an extensive neutral colour palette that provides timeless versatility for your wardrobe, suitable for any occasion - a step away from our past vibrant pieces featured in previous summer ranges.
As we move forward to the next stages of the campaign, our aim was to embody a cohesive brand identity that seamlessly integrates our design vision with our creative direction. To continue our refined aesthetic, 'Club De Couture' Drop 1 is centred around a lunar-like landscape, where time stands still for our SS23 campaign. We felt that the almost otherworldly setting of SARAKINIKO BEACH in Milos, Greece, reflects the new direction of our brand. The dramatic and solitudinous surroundings create a striking, minimalist approach to the art direction, which exudes a sense of understated luxury, allowing our products to take centre stage and speak for themselves without any distractions. The organic, bone-white tones harmonized effortlessly with the simplistic hues of the collection, while our lightweight fabrications effortlessly tied in with the scenic softness and textures of the rocks.
With Drop 2 of our SS23, we shifted our creative attention to the brand's lifestyle. Taking cues from architecture, which has always served as an evergreen source of inspiration for Couture Club's campaigns, we chose a villa with a minimalist interior design, enhanced by natural raw materials throughout, and with its clean lines and timeless yet trending aesthetic, it served as the perfect canvas for the last drop of the collection. While retaining the functionality of Drop 1, Drop 2 features a range of styles that offer greater versatility, seamlessly transitioning from day to night, with heavier fabrics and slightly more structured silhouettes, all while staying true to our core SS23 muted colour palette.
Through this campaign, our goal was to inspire and empower our customers, to embrace your individuality and style with confidence, knowing that our products are designed with an unwavering focus on quality and attention to detail. We hope that you enjoy both wearing and witnessing the final result of our creation as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life for you. Thank you for choosing us and letting us be a part of your style journey; we look forward to continuing this journey with you and creating more unforgettable fashion experiences together.
Here's to the Summer of 2023...

Spring is just around the corner. This means warmer days, longer hours of daylight, and more variety in outfits. It also means it's time to start thinking about transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring. It can be tricky to know what to wear during this period (especially with the unpredictable UK weather - think four seasons in one day), but we’ve got you covered with some handy transition tips - that aren’t just focused on florals. Spring fashion just got a makeover.
Layering is keyThe weather can be difficult to judge during the spring, with temperatures ranging from freezing cold to unseasonably warm. The first glimpse of sunshine might have you rushing to your wardrobe for last season’s mini co-ord, but don’t be fooled. Layering is key to ensure that you can adjust your outfit according to the weather. Start with a base layer, such as a t-shirt or vest top, and then add an oversized sweatshirt or hoodie. You can then add a jacket or coat if it's still cold outside. This will allow you to easily remove layers if the temperature increases throughout the day. Perfect for keeping your style in check, without sacrificing yourself to the elements. Spring outfits need layers to work well and give you options as the weather gets warmer.
Swap out heavy fabrics for lighter onesDuring the winter, it's common to wear heavy fabrics and items, such as wool and puffer jackets. However, as the weather gets warmer, it's time to swap out those heavy fabrics for lighter ones. Opt for fabrics that are lightweight and breathable; anything that will keep you warm, but also gives you the option to remove items. This will help you stay cool and comfortable during the warmer days of spring. Fingers crossed we actually get some.
Invest in a lightweight jacketA carpenter jacket is the perfect transitional piece for spring. It's lightweight, but still provides enough coverage to keep you warm on cooler days. Opt for a classic beige or black carpenter jacket that can be worn with almost anything. This is also a key piece for 2023, offering something timeless and perfectly on-trend.
Other lightweight options include the classic denim jacket. Keep this fresh by going oversized or adding a repeat print. A bomber jacket also offers an easy transitional piece. With a variety of colours and fabrics, it’s a truly versatile option. Wear placed over your shoulders for a unique look.
Embrace neutral coloursSpring is all about pastel colours such as blush pink, baby blue, and lavender. But neutral colours are still in and a huge trend for 2023. Embrace these colours and incorporate them into your wardrobe. You can add a pop of colour with a pastel-coloured oversized sweater, but keeping the majority of your spring wardrobe neutral means you can easily mix and match pieces.
Don't forget about your footwearDuring the winter, boots and other heavy footwear are in. However, as the weather gets warmer, it's time to switch to lighter footwear such as trainers, hi-tops, and canvas shoes. Opt for your kicks in neutral colours such as black, beige, and white, as they will go with almost anything in your wardrobe.
Update your accessoriesAccessories are a great way to update your wardrobe without breaking the bank. Swap out your winter accessories for lighter options, such as caps or even beanies. Add some statement jewellery, like oversized earrings or a bold necklace, to really elevate your outfit. And don’t forget, spring means sunny spells, so make sure your sunglass collection is up to date and ready to wear. We’re thinking oversized and dark, or tiny and multi-coloured, whatever your style.

]]>Millennials have been fearful of the day that skinny jeans no longer reign supreme when it comes to pants for women. And there’s a reason they’ve managed to hold that title for so long; versatility (plus, they look good on everyone!).
But over the last couple of years or so, cargo pants have marched onto the scene. These military-esque trousers might have taken inspiration from the battlefield, but they’re anything but utilitarian.
With the option to be ultra-feminine or err on the masculine side, cargo pants can be worn in any situation - and we mean any. Their versatility knows no bounds, which is ideal if you’re thinking of replacing all your worn-out skinny jeans. Let’s take a look at how to style cargo pants and provide you with some outfit ideas.
Not all cargo pants are created equal - especially skinny cargo pants. You’re probably used to seeing bulky, wide-fit cargo pants, that can often feel like they’re swallowing you up and taking away from the feminine feel you might be trying to recreate.
Enter: skinny cargo pants. We’re still moving away from skin-tight jeans, but these style of cargo pants allow you to maintain a slim silhouette, whilst still embracing the cargo pant trend. They can also be worn with heels for an ultra-glamorous look. Our buckle detail panelled cargo pants even allow you to cinch in at the ankle for a feminine look.
Wear with a cropped t-shirt for a more casual look, or team with our knotted rib crop top for nights out.
The heart wants what it wants - and sometimes that’s a wide leg for comfort. But don’t think you have to sacrifice on style; our oversized wide-leg cotton cargos in tan featured oversized pockets and dual-tone beige, ideal for teaming with your favourite Yeezys.
Add a tight crop top to feminise the look, or keep it casual with an oversized hoody. This is the ultimate in street style and a perfect representation of how military clothing has become mainstream (and highly desired).
These are an ideal piece for your capsule wardrobe, as their neutral shade will literally go with anything and they’re a timeless style. Plus, you finally have functional pockets!
Although a prominent feature of military-style cargo pants is their large pockets, this isn’t the only feature you have to rely on. Ruched detail cargo pants, like our toggle pair in beige are perfect for dressing up or down. Team with heels for a night out or hot date, but they also work just as well with your favourite Air Jordans or Yeezys. Whether you go oversized or cropped with your top, the ruched cargo can really do it all.
Okay, we’ll admit it - your skinny jeans can easily work with any pair of shoes, from knee-high boots, over-the-knee boots, Converse, sandals, and heels. And although your cargo pants might not be able to work with quite as many options, the choices you do have are extremely stylish.
Chunky trainers should be your go-to when it comes to cargo pants. Whatever the width of the leg you choose, they complement the style perfectly. The leg of your cargos will sit just on top of your trainers, allowing their style to shine through and elongate your leg.
But as we’ve seen on the likes of Kim Kardashian and Bella Hadid, if you’re a heel kinda gal, cargo pants are now your new best friend. Whether you choose to wear them as they are, or ruche at the ankle to highlight your heels more, cargo pants and heels allow you to embrace your feminine side, but with an added edge.

No longer left to the gym floor or for jogging, hoodies are a staple piece of any wardrobe - regardless of age group, gender, and style. Why? This simple item has proven time and time again that its versatility knows no bounds. And we love that for hoodies (and for ourselves).
Style has always been (and will continue to be) subjective. Fashion trends also come and go, but we’re starting to see capsule wardrobes gain in popularity - and a hoodie will always be part of that capsule. From red carpets to working from home, the hoody easily makes its mark in a plethora of environments.
But when we think about how versatile hoodies can be, how should a hoodie fit and how to wear a hoodie? And how should we style them for different occasions? First, let’s take a look at the history of the hoodie to understand it truly.
The history of the hoodie
The hoodie grew from the humble sweatshirt. Initially created to keep athletes warm on the field, adding a hood protected them from any other elements. This meant more training sessions in inclement weather. Ideal if you’re looking to beat the competition.
However, it was also produced to keep labourers and warehouse workers warm. With freezing temperatures in New York, workers needed something practical to stay cosy, rather than relying on multiple pieces of clothing.
Hip-hop culture also helped the hoodie reach popularity - with many designers taking inspiration from the street style. The term ‘hoodie’ however, didn’t become popular until the 1990s. Now, it’s an everyday word and almost every household has this staple piece in their wardrobe.
Different types of hoodies
Of course, like many popular fashion trends, we’re not just limited to one basic style. A hoody can come in various different fits, with multiple features and materials. Here are some of the standard types of hoodies:
Different types of fit
As it’s your personal style, a hoodie can fit any way you prefer. But if you’re looking for ideas, here’s how a hoodie should fit to achieve different looks.
Oversized hoodies
Oversized clothing has been having its moment over the last few years - and doesn’t look like that’s set to end anytime soon. But have you ever wondered how to style an oversized hoodie?
Oversized hoodies are no different. They’re practical, stylish, and look great with a multitude of outfits. If you’re going to go oversized, keep your bottom half less oversized, otherwise you might end up disappearing in your outfit (and your outfit should complement you and your style).
Don’t forget, if you’re going oversized with your hoody, you need to do the same for your jacket. Trying to squeeze baggy sleeves into a tight denim jacket will feel constricted - and probably ruin the vibe you’re going for.
With oversized hoodies, ensure the shoulder doesn’t slope too much and that the sleeves are the right length. Although oversized should be larger than your normal size, that doesn’t mean it should fit poorly. Simply buying a hoody three sizes larger might mean you end up with lots of excess material - in all of the wrong places.
Regular fit hoodies
Regular fit hoodies are simply the size you would normally wear in a sweatshirt or t-shirt. A regular-size hoodie will feel comfortable on your body, without being too tight and restrictive and without swallowing you up. You’ll be able to easily wear this fit of hoodie under your normal jackets and coats.
Regular fit hoodies also tend to work better when you’re looking to smarten things up. Team with chinos or cargo pants and a leather jacket to create a look that wouldn’t look out of place at a fashion show.
Muscle or tight-fit hoodies
Don’t leave the muscle-fit clothing just the gym. If you fancy showing your physique off more or perhaps need something that will work under a blazer, a muscle-fit hoodie can provide exactly what you need.

Letterman style jackets are a big hit with our customers too, offering the perfect solution to that age-old question: is it too warm for a jacket? And if it is, simply throw this over your shoulders to really emulate the varsity look.
Taking you from spring to summer, the varsity style provides something different to a denim jacket, and just enough to keep your cool.
What exactly is ‘varsity style’?Think sports - American football, baseball, basketball, rowing - the list goes on. With a rise in nineties fashion, it’s no wonder why varsity style has suddenly re-emerged (although this style has been popular since the 1950s too). We love nostalgia and the lettermen jacket does just that, bringing back memories of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and Diana, Princess of Wales, as well as all our favourite films (remember Beverly Hills Cop, Grease, and Clueless?).
You often find a letter emblazoned on a varsity style jacket, usually the initial of the school you’re attending (or in our case, The Couture Club). Varsity jackets used to be bulky, heavy, and outward symbols of being a ‘jock’ - but the 2020s have seen a rejuvenation of the style, with more structure, less weight, and better colour palette.
Other wardrobe essentials when it comes to varsity style outfits include jogger shorts, cycling shorts, and cargo pants - ideal if you’re looking to make a statement, but not too much of an effort.
Who’s wearing the varsity jacket style?
Gigi Hadid, Tyler the Creator, Kevin Hart, Post Malone, Drake, Chanel Iman, Taylor Swift, and Rhianna have all slipped into something a little more comfortable when it comes to the varsity style - both on and off the red carpet.
Easily styled up or down, the varsity jacket isn’t just staying on the playing field any more, but is seen being paired with evening dresses, shirts, and even in replacement of tuxedos.
Celebs seem to be choosing the varsity style more and more in 2022 - and beyond. It’s set to be a trend built to last, with both new and vintage styles vying for attention.
Varsity Jacket Outfit IdeasThere’s nothing we love more than a crisp white T, cargo pants (another key trend this season), and pop of colour from a varsity style jacket. And if you’re not feeling cargo pants, ripped jeans provide a contrast to the preppy look.
With varsity comes versatility. Tone down an evening dress with a bulkier baseball jacket, or elevate an everyday look by complementing a hoodie with contrasting coloured varsity style.
Not into colour? Monochrome is always in style. A simple black and white varsity jacket can be the perfect addition to finish off an otherwise plain look, especially teamed with baseball cap and sunglasses.
Our top picks for a varsity jacket outfit include:
However you choose to style your varsity jacket, it’s a piece that won’t go out of fashion, re-emerging every few years to remind us why we love them so much. Keep the focus on blocks of colour or monochrome, and you won’t go wrong.
Make sure to check out our varsity edit for more inspiration on your next outfit.]]>Start with an event and go from there. If you’re planning a winter getaway this year (we’re thinking New York at Christmas, Belgium festive markets, or even just a weekend away in the UK) then we’ve got you covered with the latest trends and winter warmers.
Layers upon layers
Nothing says ‘cosy’ like layering up. Building an outfit up from your base layers to heavy, winter coats ensures you stay warm, whilst giving you the option to remove layers as and when you need to. We’ve all been there when you walk into a restaurant or store and suddenly your t-shirt, hoody, puffer jacket, and scarf combo all feels a bit too much (and a little sweaty).
Layering doesn’t have to feel like a chore. Although you’re layering for warmth, style can still be at the forefront of your mind. Choosing plain, simple base layers will allow you to express your personality and style through knitwear and jackets.
Men’s winter outfits in particular can feel, well, a little boring at times. Layering can help keep things simple underneath, but don’t be afraid to experiment with brighter colours and different textures for your outerwear. This green faux fur oversized hooded jacket from The Couture Club is ideal for warmth and layering, as well as showcasing that all-important style.
When packing for your winter getaway, think about layering before you travel. You can potentially pack more clothes and essentials by wearing more layers on the plane. Keeping you cosy and practical, that’s what we like to see.
Knitted hoodiesA new trend emerging this season is the knitted hoody. This is essential packing for a winter getaway as it’s a great piece to layer up with, as well as working independently. Neutral tones allow you to pair this with any other pieces in your wardrobe, so it’s a great capsule item to add to your collection.
If a hoody isn’t your thing, then classic knitted jumpers are another ideal layer for your winter getaway. Less bulky than a hoody, it means you can wear additional layers on top that come with their own hoods, such as puffer jackets. Relaxed and oversized knitwear can be paired with leggings for a more practical look, or worn on its own with a pair of chunky combat boots for something more dressy.
Oversized faux fur jacketsNothing says winter quite like a faux fur jacket. Teddy bear style coats are still a key trend for AW22, but a more classic faux fur is also making a comeback. Deep pockets, high necks, and cosy interiors make this signature aviator jacket from The Couture Club essential packing for a winter weekend away. Easily dressed up or down, it’s a unique, but practical winter coat.
Puffer jacketsPuffer jackets are a winter staple for all genders. From keeping you warm and dry to keeping your style on point, they’re ideal to keep in your winter wardrobe and pack for a winter getaway.
However, let’s not beat around the bush; they can be slightly cumbersome to carry, especially if you’ve followed our layering techniques from earlier. They’re also not the easiest to pack in a suitcase. Our high-shine puffer, available in blue or green, also comes with interior straps, just like a rucksack. This means you can easily carry your jacket on your back when you start to feel the heat. This is perfect for airports (and can double up as a neck cushion).
Varsity style jumpersVarsity style has been a big hit in 2022 and that’s no different for AW either. Stepping away from jackets this time, varsity-style jumpers are set to make a big impact this season, particularly with men’s winter outfits. Adding a touch more personality than plain sweatshirts, the varsity style is ideal if you’re looking to layer up and stay warm.
Adding touches of colour to your wardrobe, it helps shake up what can often be a boring time of year for men’s fashion.

Below, we’ve listed a few gift ideas you really can’t go wrong with (we probably should put a disclaimer on this post, but just trust us).
These are your safe options - and sometimes playing it safe is the best option. Hats (usually) and scarves fit everyone, they’re often inoffensive colours and materials, and they’re easy to wrap. Winner!
Nothing says ‘Christmas’ like a new pair of pyjamas. In recent years, we’ve been spending more and more time indoors and working from home; might as well look good AND feel comfortable whilst doing it. Your relatives will thank you for a fresh set of PJs.
This is a practical, but thoughtful gift. Every time your relative opens their wallet and goes to pay for something, they’ll think of you. You’ll have to decide whether that’s a good thing or not.

Remember, the less you take with you, the more presents and toilet rolls you can bring back (and home always has the triple quilted good stuff).
1. Create a winter capsule wardrobeThis isn’t just important for when you go home at Christmas, but also for sticking to a budget at uni and looking good whilst you’re doing it. A winter capsule wardrobe should consist of:
You can use this clothing list as what to pack for when you go home at Christmas too. Oh, and don’t forget socks and underwear. No one wants to go commando on Christmas day.
Loungewear is another important point. You’ll want to take some time to relax and chill out over Christmas, as well as have something comfortable to study in. Pack some comfy, but stylish loungewear, so you feel at ease at home.
2. Don’t forget the presents
Look, we’re not ones to judge, but you can’t return home empty-handed. If you have budget restraints when it comes to purchasing Christmas presents, check out our handy gift guide for ideas under £20.
Although you might think your presence is enough, a simple gesture can go a long way. You might offer to pay for the turkey or bring a bottle of wine or two. Perhaps you could try your hand at baking some mince pies.
3. Headphones and entertainmentWhether you’re travelling back by train or hitching a lift from a mate, bring some entertainment with you. Headphones, games consoles, laptops etc. The journey back could be the ideal time to get some assignments or revision started.
These items can be handy to have at home too. The Christmas period is notorious for being overwhelming and whilst it’s lovely to see friends and family again, having something you can escape into is essential.
4. House keys and walletYes, we know we sound like your parents, but sometimes in the run-up to the Christmas break, things can get a little busy. Make sure you pack the essentials like your ID, your uni house keys, and your wallet or purse. If you’re planning on meeting up with friends when you get home, it’ll be a bit of a kick in the teeth if you can’t get in anywhere because you still look like a baby face.
5. A going-out outfitMake sure you can celebrate the season in style. Pack at least one going-out outfit, but don’t overpack on options. Consider how many times you might be heading out when you return home and what kind of dress code you might need to pack for. It’s important to look and feel your best - as well as get into the festive spirit.
6. University work
Arghhhh! We know, we know, we can practically hear you groaning as we type this. But whilst you’re back home, use your time wisely. It’s unlikely you’ll be doing something every single day of the holidays and when you return to uni, those assignments and exams can quickly pile up.
Don’t overpack your books, but ensure you have something meaty to get your teeth into. Don’t let it dampen the Christmas mood, but also give yourself some breathing space when you return to uni. Thank us later.
7. Christmas spiritHey, it’s Christmas - we’re allowed to be a little corny. Going home for Christmas might be an exciting time for you, but equally it can feel overwhelming and a little too much. Try to head into the season with a positive mindset and bring as much Christmas spirit as you can muster.
]]>Below, we’ve given you a comprehensive guide on what to wear and which season to wear it when it comes to jackets and coats.
What jackets to wear in springIf you’re a Mean Girls fan like we are, you’ll know that during April, you only need a light jacket - and this can be said for the whole of spring.
Without harsh temperatures (in both directions), spring really is the perfect season. Layering isn’t always necessary, but you can take advantage of being able to wear a different style of coat or jacket. Think cropped blazers, or leather or denim jackets; perfect for making an outfit pop, but not heavy enough to weigh you down and make you sweat.
If you’re heading out to a barbeque or date, a lightweight jacket, like a bomber jacket, can be the perfect accompaniment. Wear on your shoulders, with the arms tied in front, so you don’t overheat. This is stylish and on-trend, as well as a great piece to take you into the summer - and beyond.
Longer-length jackets, such as trench coats, are great for spring too. They protect your outfit from any April showers, but also provide a new silhouette that you might not get from a shorter jacket. Team with an oversized hoody, matching sweatpants, and dad trainers, and you’ll have the celeb go-to outfit of the season down to a T.
Sporty jackets can work well in spring too - and not just for exercising. Tone down a preppy look with a running jacket. They’re easy to throw on and don’t take up too much room either. And don’t forget about the classic denim jacket either. If the evenings start to get a little chillier, throw on a sweatshirt underneath for a whole new look.
What jackets to wear in summerSummer weather in the UK can often be unpredictable, which means we always need to be prepared with the right type of jacket. Having something you can chuck over your shoulders at a garden party or night out is essential for ensuring your feel comfortable and stylish.
Our main two jacket options for summer are definitely denim jackets and varsity style jackets. These are ultra versatile and keep you looking cool, without overheating.
If you’re not feeling something as heavy as a denim or bomber jacket, an oversized shirt works just as well. Whether you go short-sleeved or long, this is a great way to keep yourself covered and stay looking fresh.
What coats to wear in autumnSimilar to spring, autumn comes with a variety of different weather types. As we come out of the warmer months, transition easier by adding layers to your summer outfits, rather than moving straight into your winter wardrobe.
An overshirt can work well for this, as well as lighter jackets, such as denim or varsity style. This allows you to add hoodies, sweatshirts, and jumpers underneath, and remove layers as necessary if the temperature doesn’t change too drastically.
Leather jackets are a fantastic option for autumn too. They allow you to transition nicely, but still maintain a high-end look. Team with scarves and gloves as the colder weather sets in and you’ll have a winter look to envy.
What coats to wear in winterWinter is your season to go all out when it comes to coats and jackets. This is the time of year when they’re actually required for practical reasons (and not just to keep you looking good). This doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your style though, in fact, you can embrace it even further and add statement pieces to your wardrobe.
Shearling is a huge trend for this season, not only for the warmth it provides, but also for its versatility. Often used as lining for leather, denim, and bomber jackets, shearling is soft and comfortable, but can also be used as a standalone material too.
Its neutral colour means you can team it with brighter layers, such as beanies, hoodies, and cargo pants. For complete winter outfit inspo, add leather pants, chunky boots, and a cut-out crop top. The perfect amount of style, impact, and practicality.
]]>Your summer wardrobe might not always transition easily into the winter months either. Those matching short co-ords or vest tops can leave you feeling a little chilly - and goosebumps aren’t always the best winter weather accessory.
After such a hot summer, it’s time to keep it cool with the ultimate guide to winter fashion from The Couture Club.
Oversized is inOne trend that does transition easily from summer to winter is oversized. Keeping you cool in heat waves, oversized t-shirts give you room to breathe. When the temperature drops, relaxed-fit sweaters and jackets keep you warm and cosy, as well as help you layer up.
Perfect with a crop top in winter, cargo pants can easily transition into the colder months, by adding a relaxed-fit sweatshirt, or oversized jacket. Cargo trousers have been a real staple of 2022
Stay stylish with varsity jacketsWe love a spring / summer trend that picks up momentum into winter. Varsity and bomber style jackets are a key piece for your wardrobe for winter 2022 - and beyond. Easy to dress up and down, the varsity jacket can take you from workout session to night out - and everything in between. They’re perfect for teaming with an oversized hoody and comfy cargos, especially if you’re looking to hit all those key trends this season.
Layering is keyYour granny said it first: make sure you wear layers. Layering is a key trend for winter outfits 2022. From a practical side of things, it keeps you warm and snug, and from a fashion-forward angle, you’re hitting all the marks. Jackets over hoodies, socks over leggings, oversized Ts over cycle shorts - the possibilities are endless.
Colour-blockingWinter weather can be a little dreary, especially in the UK. A great way to overcome this bleakness is to colour block your clothes. Bright greens and pinks are huge colours this season, but if you’re not used to experimenting with colour, neutral blocking is still a big trend for the backend of 2022. Think matching sweat pants and jumpers, or leggings and crop tops.
Controversial for winter, but cut-out tops are in (not to mention cut-out CROP tops too). This is ideal if you’re looking to dress up a certain look (think cargo pants and a pair of heels) and still look chic. This look can be easily layered with an oversized blazer or varsity jacket to keep you warm (but look cool). Winter clothes do need to be practical, but that doesn’t mean they can’t match your impeccable style.
BarbiecoreWe couldn’t create the ultimate guide to winter fashion without mentioning a trend that’s sweeping runways - Barbiecore. Think neon pink - and that’s literally it. Crop tops, oversized Ts, cycling shorts, tracksuits - you name it, Barbiecore has infiltrated it. We’re not too sure how long this trend will last, but we do know it’s here to stay for the winter.
Leather-effectHalloween, Bonfire Night, Christmas, and New Year mean parties and events, but often these can be held outside in Baltic temperatures. Your little black dress might not make the cut, especially if tights aren’t really your bag. Leather pants are back in a big way for winter 2022, teamed perfectly with chunky boots or trainers, as well as sky-high heels to really elevate your look.
Winter is looking pretty hot by our standards - make sure you have a wardrobe to match. Take a look at all of our collections to see what pieces will be making the cut this season.
]]>Wrap it up
Layering is a necessary option in winter - but there are plenty of ways to wrap up, without sacrificing your style. Express this through your footwear, socks, and headwear. Beanies are always the perfect option to keep you warm in the winter, as well as enabling you to add more colour to your outfits (without stepping too far out of your comfort zone!). Break up cargo pants and chunky trainers with neutral socks, adding those all-important details to your look, as well as keeping you warm.
You can really express yourself and your style in winter with jackets. As well as keeping you protected from the elements, this is another way to bring your personality into your look. Varsity bomber jackets are an easy way to add a pop of colour, whilst still keeping you warm - and don’t forget about the classic denim jacket. This is a transitional piece from summer through to winter. Simply team with an oversized hoodie, hat, and scarf to really wrap it up.
WFH attire
For many of us, remote working is here to stay and it can be easy to fall into the habit of wearing the same outfit day in, day out. As we transition into winter (and keep in mind the horrendous energy prices that come with it), our work from home attire needs to be as warm and comfortable as possible. You can still keep your winter style on point though. Matching tracksuits, graphic hoodies, and colourful sweatshirts are the perfect way to impress on video calls and keep you warm at the same time.
Oversized comfortWhen those particularly cold days roll in this season, opting for comfort is the first thing on our minds. But this doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice on style. Oversized is still a major trend in 2022 and this is ideal for keeping warm and comfortable. You can layer over t-shirts or vests, as well as mix and match tracksuits. Don’t forget, colour blocking is a hot new look this season, so don’t be afraid to match your entire outfit (or stick to neutrals if that’s more your style).
Cargo mania
Cargo pants have been a huge trend for 2022 and we’re not expecting that to slow down for the winter. They’re practical and stylish, as well as incredibly versatile too. Dress up or down for all your key events this season - as well as keeping yourself warm too.
Puffer jacketsWinter means layers and layers mean more opportunities to play with fashion and add different styles to your wardrobe. Puffer jackets are making a comeback for winter 2022 and we can’t hold our excitement in. Wear over relaxed hoodies and sweatshirts, with cargo pants and trainers, and let the puffer jacket do the work for you.
Not only are they a fashion-conscious choice, but they also keep you warm and snug during those low temperatures.
Looks like leatherLook, leather or pleather is a bold choice. But winter is the best season to embrace this look. Team with an oversized t-shirt and chunky trainers and you can easily rock a pair of leather pants. We can’t guarantee that you won’t experience a Ross from Friends episode, but we can promise you’ll look just as good in them (if not better).
Winter might mean colder temperatures, but it doesn’t have to be chilly on the fashion front. Take your pick of some of this season's trends and adapt them to fit your style. A lot of these trends allow for comfort and practicality and provide you with options for transitional pieces. Don’t work up a sweat this season; pick men’s winter outfits with ease.
]]>We’re not over oversized shirts - and neither should you be. They’re versatile, easy to wear, and fit for almost anything. We know we don’t need to convince you any further - but you might be wondering the best way to wear an oversized shirt and how to elevate an outfit with one.
Luckily, we’ve got you covered (literally). Although oversized shirts have been a huge trend in recent years, they’re definitely a staple wardrobe piece. We’ll take you through how to wear, what to wear, and when to wear this perfect accompaniment to your capsule wardrobe.
The smart oversized look
We love casual as much as anyone else, but when it comes to making an impact, you don’t always have to sacrifice comfort for style and sophistication. An oversized shirt or baggy T can be dressed up easily (often with pieces already in your wardrobe).
Oversized meets oversized when you team a blazer and t-shirt. Matching neutral colours can really elevate a look (think Kim Kardashian pre-Pete Davidson), especially when teamed with heavy biker boots, or a dangerously high heel. Belted at the waist and plenty of gold jewellery, this is a look that will get heads turning.
If you don’t fancy layering your oversized pieces, a belted oversized shirt will look just as sophisticated - and is actually a really key look for the office. Team with thick tights and knee-high boots in the winter, as well as a colourful beanie - and then take the look into the warmer months. Summer will look more like chunky platform sandals and maybe a straw hat, if you’re feeling fancy.
The casual but chic lookOversized shirts and t-shirts make the perfect outfit on their own. No bells and whistles with this little (large) number, literally accompany it with your favourite pair of trainers or hi-tops - but don’t forget to wear a big pair of knickers too (or don’t, who are we to judge!?).
Jewellery and accessories can then give your oversized shirt that oomph it might be needing, without much effort. We’re thinking of huge hoops, tiny bags, and plenty of attitude.
The classic 90s lookWe never thought we’d be using the words ‘classic’ and ‘nineties’ in the same sentence, but here we are. 90s fashion has made a real comeback in the 2020s, with style icons such as Princess Diana and Jennifer Aniston (okay okay, Rachel from Friends) giving us the inspiration we crave for casual, chic looks.
And for the oversized shirt, it may have had a moment in the 90s, but that’s certainly been revived. Team with cycling shorts and chunky trainers for a classic outfit that can take you from the gym to brunch with the girls. It’s our go-to for a quick, but effective evening outfit too. Style with chunky gold jewellery, sleek bun, and sky-high stilettos, and you won’t even feel like you’ve dressed down.
The don’t mess with me lookWearing an oversized t-shirt takes an oversized attitude - especially when paired with biker boots and a look that could kill. Add a leather or pleather jacket into the mix and you’ve got the perfect outfit for when you mean business.
We all know that Kim K has got the oversized T look down - as well as the don’t mess with me attitude. She keeps it simple with chunky chokers and equally chunky trainers. Try maintaining the same colour scheme throughout this look to really make an impact.
The stay out late look
Tucked in or out, the oversized shirt works. For our stay out late look, try with a mini skirt or layered over a slip dress. This might not be your usual style, but it’s definitely Rihanna’s - and who are we to argue with Rihanna?
]]>There isn’t a much better feeling in life than the pure bliss of stepping off the plane, feeling the sunshine wash over you, and racing through customs to get to your hotel’s pool, or even the beach.
Bikini season is upon us and it can be a little bit daunting, especially if you’ve got a holiday planned. But looking good in swimwear isn’t difficult - it’s all about finding a swimwear outfit that makes you feel confident and comfortable - however that might look to you.
The range of swim outfits available in 2022 is vast: meaning there’s something for everyone and every body. Whether you feel happier in a full coverage swimsuit, or you prefer to opt for a bikini top and swimming trunks, there are lots of options to make you feel and look great. We’ll take a look at some of the pieces available, giving you all the inspiration and ideas you need to hit the beaches this summer.
Find your colourIt can be tempting to stick with what we know when it comes to swimwear - and for a lot of people, that looks like the colour black. Although black swimsuits and trunks are always going to be a classic look, if you want to try something different with your swimwear this year, experimenting with colour can be a great place to start.
Pastel colours, as well as being on trend, are a more subdued and subtle way to bring your swimwear to life. Mint greens, corals, and lilacs look beautiful on tanned and darker skin tones - not to mention the contrast they make against the deep blue sea. If you’re feeling brave, you could even go the complete opposite of black with a pure white bikini or swimming costume. Just don’t forget to make sure your fake tan has dried before you try it on!
Find your fitBikini styles change often - but in more recent years, high waisted and high hip has been at the forefront of the fashion scene. If you’re after a little more material, high waisted can offer support and security, as well as full-coverage bottoms. But if you’re hoping to have as minimal tan lines as possible, you might want to opt for a string bikini, or bottoms that are more of a thong or V-shape. This allows you to pull the bottoms up and over your hips, creating sleek lines.
Think about your bikini top too. Some tops barely offer any support, which can be great if you have a smaller chest. For others, however, a fuller bust can be tricky to cater for when it comes to swimwear outfits. Racer back bikini crop tops are a great option for this, as they provide more support and coverage - as well as looking great with shorts and sandals too.
If string tie bikinis fill you with fear (look, we’ve all experienced the heart-stopping moment when you reach the bottom of the water slide and have to check if the girls are still intact…), sports bra style bikini tops can give you a bit more confidence.
Your swim outfit should fit your body effortlessly. Too tight and you won’t be able to enjoy yourself or swim freely - too loose and you might find yourself in the situation we mentioned previously.
Find your style
If you’re confident in what you wear normally, use that when choosing your swimwear outfits. You don’t have to lose your personality when it comes to looking good in swimwear, including what you throw on before and after heading to the pool.
Jogger shorts, cycling shorts, swim shorts, oversized t-shirts - all of these are great options to keep you cool and dry when you’re not hogging the lilo. These are easy pieces to inject colour and personality into as well. We’re thinking flames on your swimming trunks, embellishments, slogans - even cargo pockets. Whatever ‘looking good’ in your swimwear looks like to you, make sure you’re comfortable, confident, and happy in what you’re wearing.
]]>We love a man in uniform - and by uniform, we mean a matching co-ord. Your summer outfits don’t just have to stop at shorts and a t-shirt - but if they do, make sure it’s matching. Try different materials too. Although cotton and other lightweight fabrics are great for keeping you cool, towelled shorts can be equally as comfortable to wear when the weather starts to heat up. Pair with chunky trainers and crisp white socks for a casual, yet functional look - and switch to sliders around the pool to keep both your feet and style fresh.
And if you’re after something a little more sophisticated, shirts and shorts co-ords are massively on-trend this season. We’d style with a plain white T, buttons open, and fresh pair of trainers.
The cargo pant has been a big hit in 2022 - which is why it’s no surprise that it’s translated into summer wear too. Heavy, camo print shorts are out of the picture, however: we’re talking lightweight, sleek cargo shorts, taking you from mornings around the pool to nights out on the town. With functional pockets, the cargo short is ideal if you never got on the bum-bag hype - or if you’re used to losing your sunglasses.
Men’s swimwear
Men’s swimwear usually comes in three formats: oversized and baggy, tiny and tight, or just plain ol’ regular. Swimwear is an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone, whether that means going for a colour or pattern you wouldn’t normally wear, or showcasing a little more skin than usual. However you feel comfortable, there are plenty of style features to look out for when it comes to swimming trunks and shorts.
For a little more flair, try embellishments - whether that’s on the pockets or hem detailing. Keep the colour plain and the details will shine, making an impact in the water. If functionality is more your style, you can even try a cargo swimming short, ideal if you’re usually the designated valuables keeper on the beach with your mates.
Activewear
Activewear doesn’t just have to be for working out. If you find yourself sweating more than usual as the seasons change, slipping into some stylish activewear can give you that relief you need - especially if you’re heading to the airport or taking in the sights. Breathable, oversized vest tops and sleek caps can keep you cooler for longer - without sacrificing on style.
Dressing for the change in temperature can be tricky, especially if you don’t want to lose your sense of style. Staying comfortable and cool is the most important thing - and some of our favourite pieces above do just that, whilst still keeping you on-trend.
Whether you’re craving a summer of love, jet setting to your perfect beach break, or soaking up the next UK heatwave, your wardrobe needs to keep you looking and feeling your best - without breaking a sweat.
We’ve got you covered from festivals to Friday night BBQs - and everything in between. Don’t forget to mix and match all our summer outfits ideas too. We’re all about putting your own spin on things.
Summer Co-ordsA good summer co-ord can see you through from season to season. Mix and match tops and bottoms to create brand new looks every time. Bright colours, light fabrics, and unique structures give you the show-stopping appearance you’re after, without sacrificing on keeping cool.
Of course, we couldn’t create this feature without mentioning summer dresses for the perfect outfit idea. A simple one piece can be elevated through your accessories or footwear. Not feeling a tight, bodycon style summer dress? T-shirt dresses are a top trend for 2022 - and super easy to style, whether you opt for chunky trainers or a high, high heel. Team with gold chains, oversized sunnies, and an attitude to match.
With temperatures rising, you might feel more comfortable in less clothing - and we’re all for it. Whether you’re more of a bikini kind of gal or into a full coverage swimsuit, there are plenty of options to choose from. Don’t be afraid to mix and match bikini sets - from colours to styles. A bikini crop top can look great with string bikini bottoms - and a low back swimsuit can be paired with jeans or shorts to take your look from the pool to sightseeing.
When the evenings start getting a little cooler, wherever you are in the world, sometimes it’s handy to have a quick and stylish outfit you can wear over the top of a bikini or swimsuit. Although traditional beach cover-ups, like sarongs and kimonos, might not be your thing, we’ve got some alternative options for you.
Boyfriend boxers are a brand new trend for 2022 - think retro shell suit meets Mike Tyson. They’re roomy and easy to slip on after a hard day’s sunbathing. The material is great for the beach too - lightweight and won’t stay wet for long. If you’re wanting a look you can mix and match, jogger shorts are ideal. Giving the comfort of a regular pair of joggers, you can still stay cool with a shorter length, but not lose out on style or substance.
]]>Cargo pants are back - and in a BIG way. With nineties fashion making a huge return this season, it’s no surprise that cargo pants are a staple item to add to your wardrobe.
Functional and fashionable, the cargo trouser is well on its way to being one of the key pieces of 2022 - and beyond. With plenty of unique styles to choose from, they’re not just limited to boy bands and girl groups. Celebs from Rhianna to Gigi Hadid, Scott Disick to Kanye West, are all taking note of this hot new trend - and putting their own twist on it.
What are cargo pants?
Also going by the name combat trousers, cargo pants are a military style item, with heavy pockets, usually on the side of the thighs. Handy for spare change, sunglasses, and mobile phones, they might have a different use nowadays, but their roots still remain.
As with most on-trend pieces, you can find cargo pants in a plethora of different colours, but they’re notably known for being beige, black, khaki, or camouflage. This neutral palette gives you the opportunity to team them with everything and anything, making them extremely versatile.
Military and utilitarian pieces come back into fashion every so often - and elements of this type of clothing seeps into our everyday, without even knowing it. Think cable-knit jumpers, chunky work boots, and military-style jackets.
Cargo pants were originally a big hit on the fashion front in the early 2000s, seeing a recent revival, with Y2K trending worldwide.
How to wear cargo pantsThere are no rules when it comes to styling cargo pants - anything goes. From comfort to the red carpet, celebrities are owning this look - and cargo pants are stealing the show.
Not looking to make a huge statement? We’ve got you. Jogger cargo pants are the ideal comfort piece, without looking like you didn’t make an effort. Team with an oversized white T, chunky trainers, and bucket hat, you’re hitting all the key trends, without going overboard.
Cargo pants don’t have to be casual either. Fancy a change from dresses and jeans for your usual night-out attire? Cargo trousers can elevate your look in an instant. Team with bright, neon heels and a crop top to really add something. You can even use an elastic hairband to create a cuffed effect to your cargo pants, pinching in at the ankle, showcasing your heels.
Cargo pants and denim jackets are a match - and we’re swiping right every time we see this pairing. Throw a pastel or neutral hoodie into the mix and you have the perfect look in an instant. Casual and chilled, this is an ensemble that will keep your cred.
Have fun with this look. Cargo pants can be a playful piece to add to your wardrobe - so why not try an oversized slogan t-shirt? If you’ve gone for a neutral colour with your trousers, keep things bright on top, including graphic sweatshirts.
Brogues and smart shoes might not be the best option for the cargo pant. If you want to really embrace the utilitarian style, try a pair of chunky military boots (also in style for this season). Crisp white trainers also work well with cargo pants, including hi-tops. You could even go full Y2K with a wide trainer or skate shoe - both work well with cargo trousers.
The choice is really yours - as cargo pants work in both styles. High waisted gives a different edge to your look and can work well for crop tops and heels. If you’re keeping it chilled with more relaxed vibes, low rise cargo pants hit the mark.
Don’t be afraid to mix it up when it comes to different styles too. A varsity jacket and relaxed pair of cargo pants can create a real head turner of a look. Two simple pieces elevate and complement each other, giving you an effortlessly cool outfit.
Make this trend your style with our range of cargo pants available at The Couture Club.
Below, we’ve listed some of our favourite locations for the perfect summer break, with inspiration and tips on how to pull together the best summer outfits. And the perfect accompaniment to any sizzling look? Sun screen of course 😎
Ibiza Outfits Inspo
If you’re heading out to Ibiza for your summer break, it’s time to make the most of those beautiful sunsets and sunrises (if you manage to wake up in time…). We know Ibiza is famous (or infamous even) for its nightlife and club scene, so make sure you pack oversized t-shirts and sheer mini dresses to keep you cool - and on trend. These styles are huge this season, and with less fabric to pack, you can take a few more options.
Let’s not forget the most important part of any Ibiza getaway: The Bikini. No summer holiday is complete without one, especially if you’re heading to the Balearic Islands. Matching sets are in - and bums are out. Team with chunky gold accessories and headscarf for a seamless day look - and transition to night by pairing with jogger shorts and a checked shirt.
Jogger shorts and matching sweatshirt is the ideal outfit for your flight too. Keep it simple with a pair of dad-style trainers, slicked back pony, and baseball cap. Cycle shorts are also a big trend again this season, teamed with over sized t-shirts or crop tops, transitioning you from the UK to Ushuaïa.
Best Marbella OutfitsIdeal for nightlife, pool days, sunsets, long walks on the beach, and the all-important boat parties, Marbella is an essential summer holiday destination. It’s obvious why you’re going - but with so much to do and see, planning your outfits can be a task and a half.
However you choose to spend your time in this beautiful city, you need outfit options, including the perfect plane fit, beachwear attire, and something to keep you dancing all night long. Marbella is famous for its white parties, so be prepared. Co-ords, mini skirts, and sheer dresses are the ideal accompaniment to a white bikini, easily taking you from day to night. And with so much to do, the less you have to think about what you’re doing it in, the better.
For boat parties, keep it casual. A sporty-style bikini and cycle shorts, with a checked shirt tied round the waist gives you that coverage you might crave during the day, but allows you to let loose during the evening.
Santorini Outfits Inspiration
Santorini is known for sophistication. This beautiful island is filled to the brim with culture and activities, from snorkelling to sightseeing. But don’t let the classy exterior fool you. Santorini is a hub of nightlife and boat parties, offering a little something for everyone.
This gives you the opportunity to pack options upon options - and mix and match. We’re thinking co-ords, multiple bikinis, and plenty of activewear, so you can explore the island in style (and comfort).
Keep it simple and stylish in the evenings with a cropped vest top, cycle shorts, and oversized blazer. Teamed with a pair of heels, this is the perfect outfit for any Santorini evening, keeping you on trend, but not catching a chill when the nights close in.
Top Mykonos OutfitsAnother beautiful Greek location, Mykonos is an extremely popular choice for those of us from the UK. We crave sun, sea, and sand - and Mykonos gives us what we want. Take advantage of this picture-perfect island with the ideal Mykonos outfits - from co-ords to sheer dresses, there’s not a lot you can go wrong with.
Boat parties are a huge hit for Mykonos holiday-makers. Think clear blue seas and boat-loads of party animals (literally), this is the best opportunity to wear something to impress. Sheer dresses can be the ideal cover-up for bikinis, as well as taking you from day to night. Don’t forget headscarves and sunglasses to keep you shielded from the sun - but still keep you looking stunning.
Mykonos is famous for its plethora of white buildings - match with your surroundings and keep your colour palette light. Not only will this look sophisticated and in style, it’ll also keep you cool.
Festival Outfits TipsFestival season is one of our favourite times of the year. It’s a chance to experiment with your wardrobe and express yourself through fashion. But it’s not all sequins and tassels. Your festival experience can be whatever you make it - and we’ve got some alternative options to keep you covered.
Jogger or cycle shorts and an oversized t-shirt, along with some chunky trainers is, in our eyes, the perfect festival style. It’s simple, stylish, and functional, keeping you comfortable whilst jamming to your favourite bands. Team with a bum bag and baseball cap, as well as chain and lock, and you’ll have completely elevated your look with accessories.
Don’t think you have to stick with wellies either. Combat or military style boots and just as practical - and keep your look that certain edge.

This year we are proud to create a club of Brand Ambassadors, showcasing the local youth talent of Manchester, from Artists and Creatives to Sportspersons. We will be sharing unique content as we aim to inform and inspire you beyond fashion.
First up is Bolton born female rapper Crystal Millz. Who is fast proving herself to be an unstoppable talent. Following just a handful of tracks, she has received a wave of support from the likes of BBC 1Xtra and Capital Xtra, as well as GRM and Mixtape Madness, with Crystal championed by the likes of DJ Target, Charlie Sloth, Robert Bruce, and Da Beatfreakz.
As our first ever Brand Ambassador, Crystal represents the brand further than just Instagram. We asked her a few questions so you can get to know her more.
As our first ever brand ambassador, what made you choose us?
I chose to partner up with The Couture Club because I love their brand of clothes and the quality they have. They have a variety of clothing that can match up with anything.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as very edgy and tomboyish. I like to mix my swag with different things.
Favourite piece you can’t live without from Couture?
The one thing I can’t live without from Couture collection is the varsity jackets. I’m so in love with them, I wear them everywhere and the good thing about it is they have them in different colours so I’m always able to match the jackets with whatever colour outfit I have on.
What is your proudest achievement of your career so far?
My proudest achievement so far in my career is finally showing the world my music. I am thankful for them accepting me for me because when I was young, I was shy. Now that I am a bit older, I know that I must learn to stop being shy and show the world my craft.

I would love to perform in America. One of my goals is to be an international star so to perform in the states that would be Crazy!

Our announcement today follows the release of Crystals new single ‘Get You Off My Mind’ with South London’s Kairo Keyz. It shows off Crystal’s unique raspy voice and effortless flow, and is just the first offering at the top of what is set to be a huge year for the UK’s brightest new star.
Speaking about the track, Crystal says, “The song is based on a true event that’s happened in my life. I talk about a previous relationship in the song, there’s a line where I say, “I can barely speak when they say your name.” That was something that had actually happened; when someone would bring up his name, I wouldn’t even be able to speak. I think this is something a lot of people can relate to. I was in the studio playing random beats and this beat happened to be the one I connected with the most so I poured out on it. Kairo was in the studio at the same time, and he was feeling the track, so we jumped on it and we made something magical.”

]]>In this blog, we’ve got some top tips regarding what to wear when travelling. We’ll then take you through some of the hottest picks in our collection of airport outfits, so you can get sorted with airport fashion that’s perfect for the journey too. With airport clothes from The Couture Club, you can combine comfort with style for the ultimate travel outfit this season!
What To Wear When TravellingHere are just some of the key points to consider when you’re piecing together the perfect airport outfit...
When it comes to feeling comfortable and relaxed, a loose t-shirt can do just the trick! Depending on your destination, there’s a good chance that you’ll be spending a lot of time in the airport and on the plane, so you want to feel comfortable in whatever you’re wearing.
A versatile staple piece like an oversized t-shirt can form a key part of your outfits once you reach your destination too. When you’re planning your outfits for going away, taking a few staple pieces with you that you can mix and match is always a good idea. This can keep the weight of your luggage to a minimum, whilst still providing you with several outfit choices.
When thinking about airport outfit ideas, one of your most important considerations is what bottoms to wear. Planes can sometimes be cramped and uncomfortable - there’s nothing worse than a tight pair of pants that feel stiff whilst you’re sat for long periods of time. You should opt for bottoms that are stretchy and allow you to remain flexible - it’s probably best to avoid jeans if comfort is your priority! For women, leggings are always a popular choice for comfy airport outfits and travelling. They’re stretchy and full-length, keeping your legs warm even when the plane gets cool!
The right pair of shoes is essential for travelling. You want a pair that are suitable for walking, that will remain comfortable as your feet swell during long flights, and that will keep your feet warm as the plane gets cold. That’s why trainers are such a solid choice. We’ve got so many options in our footwear collection to complement your airport attire.
Better still, with a versatile pair of trainers, you can wear them again and again when you reach your destination. Shoes can take up a lot of luggage room, so travelling in a pair of versatile shoes that you can use at the other side will keep your luggage weight to a minimum. You should also select shoes that are easy to remove when you’re going through airport security - no one wants to be that person that’s holding up the queue!
Master the art of travel layering this season to ensure you stay comfortable on your next trip. Air travel usually involves different micro-climates, like the air-conditioned cabin to sunnier climates once you land at your destination. Using layers means that you can adjust as you go, based on your temperature. Of course, the more you layer up, the less you have to pack too! It’s always best to wear layers that are easy to remove, such as jackets, like a simple bomber jacket or denim jacket, and hoodies.

“Rap is a form of expression, so is fashion. So naturally, you get rappers talking about their fashion because that’s what represents them, and then that feeds back into fashion. I think there always has been, and always will be, a great synergy between them.” ~ Hardy Caprio
We’re so excited to launch our latest collection, designed in collaboration with Hardy Caprio - a true legend in the UK R&B rap scene. Not only is this our first ever music collaboration, but it’s also our first unisex collection, which makes it even more unique. Here at The Couture Club, we’re passionate about bringing you collections that allow you to express yourself and your true identity with confidence. Launching these unisex pieces, in collaboration with Hardy, truly puts that passion into practice! With a range of versatile pieces that capture Hardy’s energy and style, this new collection is ideal for the summer season.
We thought we’d take you behind the scenes so you can take a look at why we chose to work with Hardy, and what to expect from our latest launch…
Let’s start with where it all began - finding the right representative. When it comes to choosing who to collaborate with, this is meant to be a brand’s hardest task. Yet for us, it was an easy decision. Hardy has previously worn The Couture Club on several occasions, and therefore it was clear that he appreciated our style and our brand values already; this instantly set him aside. But of course, it goes beyond liking the brand - we want to collaborate with individuals who stand for what we believe in. Everything that Hardy is about from his personality, his music, his morals and the level of responsibility that comes with a high-profile position in pop culture made him the ideal collaborator for Couture.
When it came to collaborating throughout the campaign, we had so much fun bringing you this fashion-forward collection! We admired Hardy anyway for how he’s a self-made and well-respected artist that keeps himself grounded, but he’s such a fun character to be around, which made the collaboration so easy to execute. Hardy was involved from the start and played a key role by participating in brainstorms and joining our calls to finalise samples. When it came to the shoot, Hardy had full control over the creative direction and execution - this was key for the success of this project, which is all about self-expression!
Hardy has such vibrant energy and style, and it was so important for us to capture this in the collection. It also meant that we could be experimental, reaching previously untouched audiences and creating streetwear styles that are fresh and progressive. Something really important to us in this collaboration was making the collection accessible regardless of gender identity, body type or preferred price range. So, that’s exactly what we created - every piece in the collection is a unisex garment, our range in sizes goes from XS to 3XL, and we focused on bringing you luxury streetwear at accessible prices.
Not only is our 30-piece collection unisex fashion at its best, but it provides you with pieces that can create a full outfit from head-to-toe, that can take you from day to night! Versatility is essential for our clothing - that’s true for our menswear and womenswear ranges - and this launch was no different. Genderless clothing can really help you to discover and showcase your personal style, and what better place to start than this collection?
Using the latest fashion trends, we created a collection that includes everything from androgynous wardrobe staples that are perfect for that everyday casual vibe, to standout pieces that make the perfect festival fit - our collection has dropped just in time for the delayed festival season this summer! The collection includes neutral basics to smart paisley twinsets, casual varsity basketball styles, fabric that includes mesh and velour, bandana detailed material, neon pops of colours and acid-wash finishes.
There are so many unique, versatile pieces across the entire range, but we’ve picked out a few of our favourites that capture what this launch is all about - creativity, individuality and the freedom to express your true self! Take a look at our top picks here:
